SLA-JSLA Joint Meeting


Japan Special Libraries Assoication (JSLA) and SLA will be collaborating to host a one day event on the theme of “The Future of Information Professionals: US-Japan Perspectives” on February 22 in Tokyo. This meeting will bring together Japanese members of SLA, members of the Japan Special Libraries Association, and other information professionals to introduce them to the special librarianship both in the United States and in Japan.

JSLA Annual Meetings and Conferences


Every year, the Annual Meeting and Conference is held at a site in one of the member regions.

  • 2005 JSLA Annual Meeting and Conference
    JSLA will hold its 2005 Annual Meeting and Conference, June 23 and 24, at National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Tokyo.

  • JSLA Autumn Seminars


    Every Autumn, JSLA holds a two-day seminar. The purpose of this seminar is to provide the participants with knowledge and skills in order to help them to keep up with trends in the spread of information, and opportunities to share ideas for developing library services.

    This two-day seminar is annually held in the Fall.

  • JSLA Evening Seminars


    JSLA organizes seminars for information specialists, students in library and information science fields, and those who want to master skills and knowledge of information searching. Each seminar has a main theme and consists of several sessions, which are filled with valuable information and offers professional insights. All sessions are conducted by professionals and specialists in the fields.
